Don't drive down HWY 361, operating the golf cart on this HWY is dangerous and illegal. Be sure to check with your vacation rental to make sure you can take the cart to your rental.
Don't drive into or near the water - this includes, but is not limited to : bays, boat docks, the shoreline, the ocean, puddles, etc. Allow at least 100' feet of distance from the water. (Water damage fees are $2000-$20,000)
Don't allow anyone else who is not authorized operate the vehicle at anytime. This will result in the revocation of the rental without refund.
Don't drive past mile marker 40 on the beach. (Mile markers are located on the sand dunes.)
Don't drive into or near the dunes, or anywhere else that is not a road. The beach is considered a public roadway.
Don't operate the vehicle without proper restraints at any given time. This applies to all passengers in the vehicle- including adults and children. No children or any other occupant can ride in the laps of other passengers.
Remember, golf carts are considered motor vehicles in Port Aransas & the same traffic laws apply.(Including, but not limited to: seat belts, open containers, DWI laws, car seats, etc.
Remember, to refill the tank before returning the golf cart. (Failure to refill the tank will result in a $30.00 gas charge to card on file. Unless you OPT in for the pre-paid fuel charge.)
* Be sure to check with your rental to be sure you're allowed to bring a cart back!
